Go to the Metlink database

Type in a comma to search for all of the MetLink data (below)

Drag across all of the data so that it is selected and Edit/Copy (below)

Open a word processing package eg Word or AppleWorks and Edit/Paste the data (below)

File/Save as/ but save as Type: Text only

Use a file name such as mydata.txt

Launch Excel then File/Open/and open your file caled mydata.txt (below)

Follow the dialogue instruction boxes and click the appropriate small buttons

Original data type/delimited/Next (below)

Delimiters/comma/Next/Finish (below)

The data should now appear as an Excel spreadsheet separated into columns (as below)
